Congratulations to Tort Guy, who successfully answered yesterday's riddle just before the deadline.
Yes, it's The Cochran Firm that's calling itself "America's largest personal injury plaintiffs' tort law firm." (That's the sort of tagline, by the way, that's perfectly designed for Google web-crawlers. A topic for another post, I suppose . . .)
I've been thinking about Johnnie Cochran a lot lately, ever since his firm took out two full-page ads in the local Alton, Illinois Yellow Pages. Two other quarter-page ads compete against my firm's ads on pages for personal injury and workers' compensation.
I'm still waiting to run into Mr. Cochran at Tony's during lunch, but haven't yet. Come to think of it, where's his office?
To Tort Guy, congratulations. I'll be mailing you my Belli book.
What's funny is that the Cochran Firm's main site is so poorly put together, however their New Orleans site kicks some major HTML arse:

Johnnie, get off the golf course and invest some of that time and energy into finding someone to put together a site for your that can back up your ego.

Seems like a lot of firms could put more thought into their websites and Internet marketing. On the other hand, where I practice, probably half the community does not have Internet access. (I know because we ask our clients for their e-mail addresses). Thus our firm's marketing focus is newspaper advertising and, more importantly, keeping all our clients happy so they come back.
