In an online interview with Yvonne DiVita of Lip-Sticking, lawyer and blogger Matt Homann of the [non]billable hour was asked what he liked the least about the legal profession. His answer:
The thing I like least about being a lawyer is how little the general public values the profession. Almost every lawyer I know volunteers for charity, serves on civic boards, coaches little league teams, and truly cares about the community they live in. The lawyers I know are not getting rich. They are not liars or cheats. They deal with others honorably and fairly. They are the kinds of people I want my daughter to grow up to be.
I concur. The full interview with Matt is here.

Evan, thank you for the note and mentioning my interview with Matt Homann. You are both so right! That was a favorite part of the interview for me-- and I hope we--you included-- can help change the public's perception of lawyers. That said, our success may be small, and local, but that's okay. Every little bit is a step in the right direction. BTW, great blog!
