Bling Bling for Wealthy Lawyers: Digital Cameras
Are you a personal injury lawyer? Then you'll agree that nothing would be worse than stumbling onto the scene of a big
accident and realizing (with a jolt) that your digital camera has only six
measly megapixels. Or even worse, only four! In shooting pictures of the crash, how will you get the sort of fine details that are going to persuade the jury to find for your client, assuming you can get an accident victim to sign up with your firm? Don't let it happen to you: head to the camera store right now and buy a Cannon EOS-1Ds Mark II, which can be yours for only $8,300 (sorry, lens extra). Pictured on the right, this wonderful camera boasts a grand 16.7 megapixels, is fully tax-deductible, and will persuade all the accident victims to sign up with you just as soon as you pull it out of your trunk.
What if you're a defense lawyer who has no need for fancy accident-scene photos? Well, you take your family skiing, don't you? Or on trips to the beach in Mexico? Or on African safaris? A digital SLR will serve you well no matter where you spend your three or four weeks of downtime. And what better camera for you than the Nikon D70, pictured on the left, which Popular Photography recently named the digital camera of the year? Sure it has only six megapixels, but it's got more buttons and doodads than you can shake a light meter at. And at only $1,300 (lens included), you'll only need to bill about an hour and a half to pay for it.

Awesome digital cameras qualify as bling? I dunno about that... Geek bling, definitely.
I recall seeing one of the prominent, phone book cover advertising, billboards on the highway PI attorneys in my home town, tooling around town in a spiffy sports coupe, with a tanned trophy blonde on his arm. But it's hard to imagine him tooling around with one of these around his neck... :)

"Bling Bling for Geeky Lawyers"--??? I get the point, but it just doesn't have the same comic ring.
Anyway, with the upcoming big-ass-yacht post, we should get back on track.
