Sounding Off in Madison County: The Blinded or Maliciously Maimed Exception to the Presidential Caps

From the Sound Off section of the local Alton Telegraph newspaper:

I agree there are too many frivolous lawsuits in Madison County, and I don't think the courts should allow a lawyer to present them. Some are really ridiculous. There is no reason why anyone needs to be awarded millions of dollars. $250,000 is plenty unless the person is blinded or maliciously maimed.

Is it a thumbs up or a thumbs down for President Bush's plan for med-mal caps? Stay tuned.
