The Legal Underground Word of the Week is "Intoxication." In the audio performance, the definition is read by Joe Simon, St. Louis mass-tort lawyer. He's there below in two shots, which are slightly fuzzy but in keeping with today's theme.
You can hear the production as an MP3 or as a podcast by subscribing to this RSS feed with iPodder or a similar product. Remember, if you'd like to participate in my audio-blogging word-of-the-week project, simply choose a suitable word from Black's Law Dictionary, record yourself reading it, and then send it to me as an mp3, wav, or DSS file. I'll set it to music for the entire world to hear, and you can use it as a stepping stone to The Apprentice.
Production Notes: Joe's performance was captured on my Olympus DS-330 Digital Voice Recorder, then transferred to my home studio, where I added the music using Acid Pro 3.0 and Sonar Producer Edition. The intro is composed of purchased loops; the theme to "Ode to Joy," which is barely audible as if through an alcohol-induced haze, was rendered when I was sober on my Casio CPS-85 digital piano. It's courtesy of Beethoven.
