COLORING BOOK SATIRIZES LAWYER'S GLIB LIFE . . . Have you seen the Coloring Book for Lawyers? A kind reader sent it to me. Although it seems to have been created long ago, it apparently hasn't broken out onto legal weblogs, except for a mention at Silent Service.
I uploaded the Coloring Book for Lawyers to a server so that everyone can enjoy it (pdf). I promise you'll see something there you recognize, with captions like these--
THIS IS THE SENIOR PARTNER. He hates me. He calls me bad names, but he gives me lots of raises.
THIS IS A CLIENT. He smells bad. He has money to spend. I like him.
THIS IS MY FIRM'S LUNCHROOM. Sometimes I walk through it and smile at the staff. "Hello, staff," my smile says, "I am one of you." I never eat there.
I don't know where the Coloring Book for Lawyers came from. There's no byline or other identifying features. If you know, fill us in (in the comments, not with crayon).

It hasn't broken out on any legal weblogs that you aggregate is what you mean -- since it's been up on techlawadvisor blog since January 18.

My apologies for being snappy -- I'm in a pissy mood today due to my long commute.

Kevin: Sorry about that. Before doing this post, I searched on Google for "coloring book for lawyers" which didn't pick up your post. I now see that others besides Silent Service have posted about it, including LawGeek (where you got it) and inhouseBlog (which got it from you), but you all changed the title of the book. Just a little mix-up.
Silent Service, by the way, had it before all of us, which probably means it's being sent around by email. My email came from Australia, so it could be that the Coloring Book for Lawyers is making its way around the entire world.
As for aggregators, I don't use them very often, though I do read a lot of legal weblogs, yours included. I just missed your post. Again, sorry.

I actually received it the day before via email from an ip attorney concerned about potential copyright issues so I waited until I saw it on LawGeek to post it; but had not yet seen Silent Service's post. Thanks by the way for that link to SS - I immediately added him to my aggregator.

Absofreakinglutely hilarious! "Color my underpants important." I just might frame every page and decorate my office with this. Sure, that would require I have a job and an office, but, well...

Love it! I'm thinking of joint venturing with ambimb to manufacture wallpaper. Thanks for giving me some breaking blogging info for Blawg Review #44.

How refreshing lawyer jokes for lawyers.

I got it by e-mail January 12; I didn't post or forward because of copyright concerns.

I can't get the link to work. :-(

Also: "satirizes."

Ted: I too am no fan of satare, though I sometimes find myself writing about it when I didn't intend to. I fixed my error.
