THE ANTI-GRISHAM . . . I liked this from lawyer/writer David Erlewine in his interview with the Pank blog--
In 2002, when I took off a year from law to write fiction, I had business cards made up that referenced how I was the anti-Grisham. My wife still gives me shit about that. God, was I a fucking idiot, thinking that was funny. But, I still believe that I am the anti-Grisham. I practice the kind of law no one wants to read about. I write about aspects of the law that no other attorneys I know write about.
Erlewine is a D.C.-based lawyer with a writing-focused weblog called Whizbyfiction.
Other lawyer-writer posts can be found in the "Between the Covers" category on this weblog, which I haven't posted to in a long time. Erlewine inspired me.
