In my attempt to spread the word about legal weblogs, I wrote an article for the May issue of the Illinois Bar Journal titled "What Weblogs Can Do For You." Time will tell whether I overstated the importance of weblogs to the typical lawyer. Please read the article and tell me what you think.
The article is online, but only Illinois lawyers have access. For others, I republished it on my firm's website. The link is here. The focus of the article is non-technical weblogs that might be of use to practitioners in Illinois. It contains short summaries of the following blogs:
How Appealing
My Shingle
the [non]billable hour
Corp Law Blog
BenefitsBlog
The Illinois Trial Practice Weblog
ethicalEsq (now prof. yabut's journal)
Professor Bainbridge
Stay of Execution
For those wanting legal weblogs that are more tech-oriented, a good list is contained in this article by Dennis Kennedy (link via Ernie the Attorney). And don't forget my favorite, the Tech Law Advisor.
What about legal websites that avoid almost all discussion of the law?

Tiger: That's an even more important article that needs to be written, and soon. I'm willing to give it a shot--all editors who are interested know how to reach me.
Your weblog, by the way, will command the top spot in my article.
