I can't claim all the credit for this bit of buzz-creation, but through a back channel I was put in touch with Sara Rimer, a reporter for the New York Times who is very intrigued by the Anonymous Lawyer weblog and wants to do a story about it. She asked me if I could put her in touch with others who would talk to her, so with her permission I'm going to try to accomplish that goal with this post.
If you fit the following criteria, please send Sara Rimer an e-mail today or tomorrow: (a) you're a lawyer or law student who reads Anonymous Lawyer; (b) you have an opinion about the weblog; and (c) you are willing to talk to Sara using your real name. She's especially interested in talking to anyone who has left comments on Anonymous Lawyer, but she still wants to talk to you if you haven't. Just mention this post and the Anonymous Lawyer in your e-mail and you'll be all set--and you might be quoted in the New York Times.
Sara's e-mail address is rimer@nytimes.com.
Meanwhile, thanks to these webloggers who followed up on my post yesterday about Anonymous Lawyer with thoughts both pro and con:

Good job, Evan!! You deserve to be quoted.
That would be like kissing one's sister, since as we all recently learned, Evan is AL. ;^>

Are you sure that's the right email address? I sent her an email offering to provide proof that Evan was AL and it bounced back. Clearly Evan has set some kind of trap for us.

Kevin: I did stupidly neglect to say that the e-mail address ends with ".com" -- a mistake that has now been fixed. But certainly a tech guru like you would have figured that out.

Hey, can we just delete these last couple comments? I've been having a bad morning. I forgot my wallet, my gas tank was on E, I missed the bus, I dropped my glove and was almost stampeded in Times Square, I had to dig for change for my coffee at Starbucks, I then dropped the sugar packet in my coffee, then my bag got caught in the door trying to get out and finally it took me 25 minutes to figure out that the .com was missing from her email address. Just one of those days I guess.

Kevin: Sorry about your morning, but I just can't bring myself to delete your comment. It's just too colorful. In fact, I'm going to do my best to incorporate it into a Friday advice post in the next few weeks.
Of course, I'll be taking liberties with some of the facts, and perhaps exaggerating a few items here and there. And I'll probably change your name. But other than that, you had it about right: you've been trapped by my weblog, just not in quite the way you thought.
