Professor Bainbridge suggests it's time to give Oliver Stone "some sort" of lifetime achievement award and send him out to pasture.
Some might say he's out there already. Before he's forgotten completely, however, how should we remember him? By JFK? Wall Street? Born on the Fourth of July? Natural Born Killers?
Anyone feel like defending the oeuvre?
I actually thought Natural Born Killers was a fantastic commentary on our society... a bit heavy handed at times, but with Stone that's a given. It was still brilliant social commentary.
But as far as lifetime achievement goes, there's only one film we need to mention: Conan the Barbarian! :)

Here's my favorite quote from JFK:
"Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right...
Back and to the right..."
I'm suprised Costner wasn't in "Alexander" with as horrible as I hear it is. Maybe Stone and Costner could share an island and leave the rest of us alone.
