Dave!

I love my Treo... it is a big productivity gain. But I also know that it has an "Off" switch, and sometimes (like meetings--and any time I'm with family) it's nice to use it.

One thing I learned the first day I got my firm-issued BlackBerry: Turn off the email notification. I don't need the thing to vibrate every time it receives an email. To paraphrase the Good Lord: The BlackBerry was made for man, not man for the BlackBerry.

We have a similar little do-dad to a Blackberry here, and I find it's fantastic when I have to travel or am home sick but want to stay in touch with whats happening on my files.

However, I have a similar rule to Dave - I turn it off when I'm in a meeting or having personal time. That was it's a useful tool, but it doesn't rule my life.

We call it a crackberry here in Hollywood.
