LEGAL BLOGGERS AS MINI ROCK STARS . . . Here's the news about the "comely" Melissa Lafsky, the former biglaw associate who wrote anonymously as Opinionistas:
Last month, she signed with [literary agent] Ms. Lee and resigned from her law firm. Last week, she posed in a nightgown for a spread on female bloggers for a future issue of Fashion Week Daily. When she’s not working on her novel, she’s been furiously preparing her blog for a relaunch—complete with her name and professionally taken picture.
The quote is from this week's New York Observer article about Lafsky's "outing." It's sort of a trend piece that also takes a retrospective look at David Lat and Jeremy Blachman. No word on where their fashion spreads will appear . . .
UPDATE: Ted Frank has some original insight about Opinionistas at his weblog Lagniappe.
